The Path of True Glory

The path toward true glory does not follow the logic of the world; rather, it is paradoxically fulfilled through the measure of one’s own poverty. It is a journey of radical stripping away, where the soul is called to deliberately empty itself of every pretension, pride, and attachment in order to finally be filled.

This dynamic of kenosis is not a loss (cf. Phil 2:6-7: Jesus Christ, though being God, emptied himself of his divine power to be like man), but the essential condition for fullness: only within the void created by humility is the necessary space generated for the power of God to flow and dwell. In this sacred exchange, the emptying of the "self" becomes the prelude to being refilled with Grace, transforming human fragility into the stage for divine glory.

 

Philippians 2:5-11

6 Who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped; 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

37. Povertà - 26 marzo 2026  Svuotati per essere riempito.

Il percorso verso la vera gloria non segue le logiche del mondo, ma si compie paradossalmente attraverso la misura della propria povertà. È un cammino di spogliazione radicale, dove l’anima è chiamata a svuotarsi deliberatamente di ogni pretesa, orgoglio e attaccamento per poter essere finalmente riempita. 

Questa dinamica di kenosi non è una perdita (cfr. Fil 2,6-7 : Gesù Cristo pur essendo Dio si è spogliato del suo potere divino per essere come uomo), ma la condizione essenziale per la pienezza: solo nel vuoto creato dall'umiltà si genera lo spazio necessario affinché la potenza di Dio possa fluire e dimorare. In questo scambio sacro, lo svuotamento dell’io diventa il preludio all'essere ricolmati della Grazia, trasformando la fragilità umana nel palcoscenico della gloria divina.

 

 

Filippesi 2, Cristo Gesù, ⁶ il quale, pur essendo di natura divina, non considerò un tesoro geloso la sua uguaglianza con Dio; ⁷ ma spogliò se stesso, assumendo la condizione di servo e divenendo simile agli uomini; apparso in forma umana, ⁸ umiliò se stesso facendosi obbediente fino alla morte e alla morte di croce. ⁹ Per questo Dio l'ha esaltato e gli ha dato il nome che è al di sopra di ogni altro nome; ¹⁰ perché nel nome di Gesù ogni ginocchio si pieghi nei cieli, sulla terra e sotto terra; ¹¹ e ogni lingua proclami che Gesù Cristo è il Signore, a gloria di Dio Padre.
