L'incontro con il risorto

Meditazione su Giovanni 21,9-10

Appena scesi a terra, i discepoli trovarono un fuoco di brace con del pesce e del pane. Gesù li accoglie, offrendo loro qualcosa da mangiare. Ma, nello stesso tempo, chiede loro di portare parte del pesce che hanno appena pescato: "Portate un po' del pesce che avete preso ora."

In questo gesto c'è un profondo insegnamento. Gesù non prende tutto su di sé, ma coinvolge i suoi discepoli, invita ciascuno a dare ciò che può. Non ci chiede ciò che non abbiamo, ma accoglie la nostra piccola offerta con amore e la trasforma.

La Pasqua è l'incontro tra la nostra povertà e la sua bontà, una novità che cambia il nostro modo di vedere le cose. Ciò che abbiamo vissuto assume un significato nuovo, e persino il sapore della vita cambia, perché Cristo trasforma i nostri sensi e il nostro cuore. Pentecoste, poi, è il compimento di questa trasformazione: è lo Spirito che ci rende capaci di donare e ricevere con pienezza.

Preghiera

Signore Gesù, Tu che ci accogli con il fuoco della tua presenza, Tu che ci nutri con il pane della tua vita, insegnaci a donarti ciò che abbiamo, anche se è poco.

Fa’ che non temiamo la nostra povertà, ma che possiamo offrirti tutto con fiducia. Trasforma le nostre offerte, rendile feconde e belle. Donaci occhi nuovi per vedere la tua Pasqua e un cuore aperto a ricevere il tuo Spirito.

Meditation on John 21:9-10

As soon as they came ashore, the disciples found a charcoal fire with fish and bread. Jesus welcomed them, offering them something to eat. Yet at the same time, He asked them to bring some of the fish they had just caught: "Bring some of the fish you have just caught."

There is a deep lesson in this gesture. Jesus does not take everything upon Himself but involves His disciples, inviting each to give what they can. He does not ask for what we do not have, but He lovingly accepts our small offerings and transforms them.

Easter is the meeting of our poverty with His goodness, a renewal that changes the way we see things. What we have lived takes on new meaning, and even the taste of life is transformed because Christ renews our senses and our hearts. Pentecost, then, is the fulfillment of this transformation—the Spirit makes us capable of giving and receiving in fullness.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, You welcome us with the fire of Your presence, You nourish us with the bread of Your life, teach us to offer You what we have, even if it is little.

Let us not fear our poverty, but allow us to give everything to You with trust. Transform our offerings, make them fruitful and beautiful. Give us new eyes to see Your Easter and a heart open to receive Your Spirit.
