Soffia su di noi, Santo Spirito,
e restituisci la vita in noi.
Vieni come vento che purifica,
come fuoco che rinnova,
come respiro che rialza ciò che è caduto.
Scendi in ogni angolo della nostra esistenza
dove la disperazione ha parlato più forte della speranza,
dove la sventura ha oscurato la fiducia,
dove la morte — fisica o interiore — ha lasciato segni profondi,
dove le sofferenze hanno consumato il coraggio.
Santo Spirito,
entra nelle zone che non sappiamo più toccare,
nelle ferite che non sappiamo più nominare,
nei ricordi che ci fanno tremare.
Là dove abbiamo perso la strada,
riaccendi la luce.
Là dove il cuore si è indurito,
sciogli con la tua tenerezza.
Là dove la vita sembra spenta,
soffia e ridona respiro.
Vieni, Spirito di Gesù,
e porta in piena opera il potere del Signore Risorto.
Che la sua vittoria si manifesti
dove la disperazione ha regnato,
dove la sventura ha ferito,
dove la morte ha lasciato vuoti,
dove la sofferenza ha consumato le forze.
Spezza, Signore Gesù,
ogni radice di invidia,
ogni parola cattiva che abbiamo detto o ricevuto,
ogni giudizio che ha ferito,
ogni mormorazione che ha diviso.
Argina Tu tutto il male,
chiudi le porte che noi abbiamo lasciato aperte,
proteggi la nostra vita con la tua Croce gloriosa.
Soffia su di noi, Santo Spirito,
e fa’ che la potenza di Gesù
scorra come acqua viva
in ogni relazione, in ogni pensiero, in ogni memoria.
Rinnova ciò che è vecchio,
risana ciò che è spezzato,
risuscita ciò che è morto.
Rendici creature nuove,
libere, pacificate, illuminate.
E fa’ che la nostra vita, toccata dalla tua forza,
diventi testimonianza della misericordia del Padre
e della vittoria del Figlio.

Breathe upon us, Holy Spirit,
and restore life within us.
Come as the wind that purifies,
as the fire that renews,
as the breath that lifts up what has fallen.
Descend into every corner of our existence
where despair has spoken louder than hope,
where misfortune has darkened trust,
where death — physical or interior — has left deep marks,
where suffering has drained our strength.
Holy Spirit,
enter the places we no longer know how to touch,
the wounds we no longer know how to name,
the memories that still make us tremble.
Where we have lost our way,
rekindle your light.
Where the heart has grown hard,
soften it with your tenderness.
Where life seems extinguished,
breathe and restore your living breath.
Come, Spirit of Jesus,
and bring into full action the power of the Risen Lord.
Let His victory be manifested
where despair has ruled,
where misfortune has wounded,
where death has left emptiness,
where suffering has consumed courage.
Break, Lord Jesus,
every root of envy,
every harmful word spoken or received,
every judgment that has wounded,
every murmuring that has divided.
Lord Jesus, restrain all evil,
close the doors we have left open,
and protect our lives with your glorious Cross.
Breathe upon us, Holy Spirit,
and let the power of Jesus
flow like living water
into every relationship, every thought, every memory.
Renew what is old,
heal what is broken,
raise what has died.
Make us new creatures,
free, peaceful, and filled with light.
And may our lives, touched by your strength,
become a testimony to the Father’s mercy
and the victory of the Son.
