La stupidità del demonio, l'astuzia dell'uomo

 

Il maligno attacca proprio nei luoghi dove la forza di Dio potrebbe brillare con più splendore: nel matrimonio, nei gruppi di preghiera, nelle amicizie profonde, tra coloro che sono chiamati a dare buon esempio. Là dove c’è amore, comunione e fede condivisa, lui tenta di insinuare divisioni; dove c’è luce, prova a gettare ombre; dove c’è testimonianza, cerca di creare inciampi.

Non perché quei luoghi siano deboli, ma perché sono fecondi. Non perché quelle persone siano fragili, ma perché portano un bene che fa paura al male.

Il maligno non mira a distruggere strutture, ma relazioni. Non vuole spegnere la fede, ma ferire la comunione. Sa bene che un matrimonio unito, un gruppo che prega insieme, amici che si sostengono nella fede, sono una forza che illumina e attira verso Dio.

Per questo tenta di insinuare sospetti, malintesi, rivalità, piccole ferite che diventano grandi distanze. Non perché lì regni il male, ma perché lì c’è una potenzialità enorme di bene. È proprio dove Dio potrebbe operare con più potenza che il maligno fa di tutto per rovinare, spezzare, confondere.

Ecco il segno più chiaro: riconoscerete la vostra potenzialità dal fatto che lui vi mette sempre il bastone tra le ruote. Se attacca, è perché lì c’è qualcosa di prezioso. Se tenta di dividere, è perché lì c’è una grazia che può portare frutto. Se prova a spegnere, è perché lì c’è una luce che può illuminare molti.

Ma la forza di Dio è più grande. Dove c’è amore sincero, perdono, umiltà e preghiera, il maligno non può regnare. La comunione custodita diventa il luogo in cui la grazia vince e la testimonianza si rafforza.

The evil one attacks precisely where God’s strength could shine with the greatest splendor: in marriage, in prayer groups, among those who are called to give good example. Where there is love, communion, and shared faith, he tries to sow division; where there is light, he tries to cast shadows; where there is witness, he tries to create obstacles. Not because those places are weak, but because they are fruitful. Not because those people are fragile, but because they carry goodness.

His goal is not to destroy structures, but relationships. He does not aim to extinguish faith, but to wound communion. He knows that a united marriage, a group that prays together, friends who support each other in faith, are a force that shines and draws others toward God. This is why he tries to plant suspicion, misunderstandings, rivalry—small wounds that can grow into great distances.

But the deeper truth is this: where it seems that evil is trying to reign, there is actually a powerful potential for God’s grace. And precisely because that potential is so strong, the evil one does everything he can to break, confuse, and ruin what could bear great fruit.

You will recognize your own spiritual potential from the very fact that he constantly tries to put obstacles in your path. If he attacks, it is because there is something precious. If he tries to divide, it is because there is a grace ready to flourish. If he tries to darken, it is because there is a light capable of illuminating many.

Yet God’s strength is greater. Where there is sincere love, forgiveness, humility, and shared prayer, the evil one cannot reign. Communion that is guarded becomes the place where grace triumphs and witness grows stronger.
