Per riconoscere e rifiutare ogni forma di superstizione

Fratelli e sorelle,

in un tempo in cui molti cercano risposte nel mistero, nella paura o nell’occulto,

noi siamo convocati dalla Parola di Dio a contemplare la verità che libera:

Gesù Cristo ha pieno potere su ogni spirito impuro, su ogni tenebra, su ogni inganno.

Non siamo soli nel combattimento spirituale.

Il Signore ci ha donato la sua grazia, la sua Chiesa, il suo Spirito,

perché nessuna forza del male possa prevalere su chi si rifugia in Lui.

Oggi vogliamo riflettere con cuore aperto e mente lucida

sul significato autentico dell’esorcismo cristiano,

sul discernimento necessario per riconoscere e rifiutare ogni forma di superstizione,

e sulla chiamata a vivere nella libertà dei figli di Dio.

Non c’è incantesimo, maleficio o spirito di menzogna

che possa resistere alla luce del Cristo risorto.

E non c’è paura che non possa essere vinta dalla sua pace.

Lasciamoci guidare dalla Scrittura, dalla sapienza della Chiesa,

e dalla testimonianza dei santi, per comprendere come vivere liberi, vigilanti e radicati nella verità.



Gesù e il potere sugli spiriti impuri

“Chiamati a sé i dodici discepoli, diede loro il potere di scacciare gli spiriti impuri e di guarire ogni sorta di malattie e infermità.” (Matteo 10,1)

Questo versetto mostra chiaramente che Gesù ha autorità assoluta sugli spiriti impuri e che tale potere è stato trasmesso ai suoi discepoli per liberare e guarire. Anche in Marco 6,7-13, i Dodici vengono inviati “a due a due” con il potere di scacciare i demòni e guarire gli infermi.

L’esorcismo cristiano: verità e prudenza
L’esorcismo è un rito ufficiale della Chiesa cattolica, praticato solo da sacerdoti autorizzati dal vescovo. È un atto liturgico che invoca la potenza di Cristo per liberare una persona da un’influenza demoniaca.
La preghiera di liberazione, invece, può essere recitata da ogni fedele. Non contiene comandi diretti al demonio, ma suppliche a Dio per la protezione e la guarigione.
Il Rituale Romano riconosce l’esistenza di malefici e possessioni, ma richiede discernimento e preparazione spirituale per affrontarli.
Il potere dell’esorcismo non risiede nel rito in sé, ma nella grazia di Cristo e nella fede della Chiesa. È sempre un atto di carità e di intercessione, mai di spettacolo o improvvisazione.

Superstizione: una deviazione dalla fede

La vera protezione

Gesù è il Signore della vita e della morte, della luce e delle tenebre.
Chi si affida a Lui non ha nulla da temere.
La Chiesa ci offre la preghiera, i sacramenti, il discernimento e la comunione dei santi come strumenti autentici di liberazione.



Viviamo in un tempo in cui molti cuori, feriti o disorientati, cercano risposte nel mistero, nel potere, nel controllo.

E quando l’amore di Gesù viene ignorato, dimenticato o frainteso,

la curiosità verso il mondo della magia, della scaramanzia e delle pratiche occulte trova spazio.

Non è sempre malizia: spesso è paura, solitudine, desiderio di protezione.

Ma il cuore umano, creato per la verità e per la comunione,

non può essere saziato da amuleti, formule, rituali privi di grazia.

La magia promette potere, ma non dona pace.

La scaramanzia illude di proteggere, ma non guarisce.

Lo spiritismo affascina, ma non salva.

Solo l’amore di Gesù, rivelato nella croce e nella risurrezione,

ha il potere di liberare, guarire, illuminare.

Solo la sua misericordia può spezzare le catene invisibili

che legano l’anima alla paura, all’inganno, alla dipendenza.

Oggi siamo chiamati a riscoprire la bellezza della fede,

la forza della preghiera,

la verità che libera.

Non per condannare chi cerca nel buio,

ma per testimoniare la luce che abbiamo incontrato.


Preghiera

Signore Gesù Cristo,
Tu sei il Figlio del Dio vivente,
venuto per distruggere le opere del maligno
e liberare ogni creatura dalla schiavitù del peccato, della paura e dell’inganno.

Nel tuo nome santo,
ti invochiamo con cuore contrito e fiducioso:
liberaci da ogni oppressione spirituale,
da ogni turbamento interiore,
da ogni spirito impuro che ci confonde o ci tenta.

Guarisci, Signore, le ferite della mente e del cuore,
le malattie psicologiche che ci affaticano,
le solitudini che ci isolano,
le agitazioni che ci spingono all’aggressività e all’odio.

Rendici liberi da ogni curiosità verso la magia,
da ogni legame con la scaramanzia,
da ogni fiducia riposta in oggetti, riti o parole che non vengono da te.
Fa’ che il nostro cuore non cerchi potere, ma comunione;
non controllo, ma abbandono fiducioso nella tua volontà.

Tu solo sei la Via, la Verità e la Vita.
Tu solo hai il potere di comandare agli spiriti impuri,
di calmare le tempeste,
di spezzare le catene invisibili che ci imprigionano.

Nel tuo nome, Gesù,
rinunciamo a ogni forma di superstizione,
a ogni spirito di menzogna,
a ogni paura che ci allontana dalla tua pace.

Rivestici della tua luce,
circondaci con la tua grazia,
donaci discernimento, dominio di sé e pace profonda.

Manda su di noi il tuo Spirito Santo,
Spirito di verità, di libertà, di consolazione.
Fa’ che la nostra fede cresca ogni giorno,
che il nostro cuore si apra alla tua tenerezza,
che la nostra vita sia testimonianza per chi cerca speranza.

Reflection and Prayer: Christ, Light Against Darkness

Brothers and sisters,

In a time when many seek answers in mystery, fear, or the occult,
we are summoned by the Word of God to contemplate the truth that sets us free:
Jesus Christ has full power over every impure spirit, every darkness, every deception.

We are not alone in the spiritual battle.
The Lord has given us His grace, His Church, His Spirit,
so that no force of evil may prevail over those who take refuge in Him.

Today we want to reflect with open hearts and clear minds
on the true meaning of Christian exorcism,
on the discernment needed to recognize and reject every form of superstition,
and on the call to live in the freedom of the children of God.

There is no spell, curse, or spirit of falsehood
that can resist the light of the risen Christ.
And there is no fear that cannot be overcome by His peace.

Let us be guided by Scripture, by the wisdom of the Church,
and by the testimony of the saints,
to understand how to live free, vigilant, and rooted in truth.



Jesus and His Power Over Impure Spirits

“Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.” (Matthew 10:1)

This verse clearly shows that Jesus has absolute authority over impure spirits,
and that this power was entrusted to His disciples to liberate and heal.
Also in Mark 6:7–13, the Twelve are sent out “two by two” with the power to cast out demons and heal the sick.


Christian Exorcism: Truth and Prudence

Exorcism is an official rite of the Catholic Church,
performed only by priests authorized by the bishop.
It is a liturgical act that invokes the power of Christ
to free a person from demonic influence.

The prayer of deliverance, however, may be prayed by any believer.
It does not contain direct commands to the devil,
but rather supplications to God for protection and healing.

The Roman Ritual acknowledges the existence of curses and possessions,
but requires discernment and spiritual preparation to address them.

The power of exorcism does not lie in the rite itself,
but in the grace of Christ and the faith of the Church.
It is always an act of charity and intercession, never of spectacle or improvisation.

Superstition: A Deviation from Faith

Superstition is considered a sin against the first commandment,
because it attributes power to objects, gestures, or rituals that do not come from God.

Christian faith is founded on trust in God,
not on controlling the future through rituals or objects.
Superstition often arises from fear,
but authentic faith generates peace and freedom.


True Protection

Jesus is Lord of life and death, of light and darkness.
Whoever entrusts themselves to Him has nothing to fear.
The Church offers us prayer, the sacraments, discernment,
and the communion of saints as true instruments of liberation.


When Love Is Ignored, Fear Seduces

We live in a time when many hearts, wounded or disoriented,
seek answers in mystery, power, or control.

And when the love of Jesus is ignored, forgotten, or misunderstood,
curiosity toward magic, superstition, and occult practices finds space.

It is not always malice—often it is fear, loneliness, or a desire for protection.
But the human heart, created for truth and communion,
cannot be satisfied by amulets, formulas, or rituals devoid of grace.

Magic promises power, but does not give peace.
Superstition pretends to protect, but does not heal.
Spiritism fascinates, but does not save.

Only the love of Jesus, revealed in the cross and resurrection,
has the power to liberate, heal, and enlighten.
Only His mercy can break the invisible chains
that bind the soul to fear, deception, and dependency.

Today we are called to rediscover the beauty of faith,
the strength of prayer,
the truth that sets us free.

Not to condemn those who search in darkness,
but to bear witness to the light we have encountered.


Prayer of Deliverance

Lord Jesus Christ,
You are the Son of the living God,
come to destroy the works of the evil one
and to free every creature from the slavery of sin, fear, and deception.

In Your holy name,
we call upon You with contrite and trusting hearts:
free us from every spiritual oppression,
from every inner turmoil,
from every impure spirit that confuses or tempts us.

Heal, Lord, the wounds of the mind and heart,
the psychological afflictions that weigh us down,
the loneliness that isolates us,
the agitation that drives us to aggression and hatred.

Make us free from all curiosity toward magic,
from every bond with superstition,
from every trust placed in objects, rituals, or words that do not come from You.
Let our hearts seek not power, but communion;
not control, but trusting surrender to Your will.

You alone are the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
You alone have the power to command impure spirits,
to calm the storms,
to break the invisible chains that imprison us.

In Your name, Jesus,
we renounce every form of superstition,
every spirit of falsehood,
every fear that distances us from Your peace.

Clothe us in Your light,
surround us with Your grace,
grant us discernment, self-control, and deep peace.

Send upon us Your Holy Spirit,
Spirit of truth, of freedom, of consolation.
May our faith grow each day,
may our hearts open to Your tenderness,
may our lives bear witness to those who seek hope.

Mary, Mother of Mercy,
intercede for us.
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Holy men and women of God, accompany us on the journey.

To You, Lord Jesus,
our praise,
our trust,
