Amen.
## Introduction
Love is not merely a feeling but a decision of the heart that begins with accepting oneself and then opening oneself to God and to others. In the fulfillment of the Great Commandment ("You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart... and your neighbor as yourself"), self-care is not an act of selfishness but the essential foundation of every authentic love: we cannot offer others the peace, respect, and freedom that we have not first acknowledged and nurtured within ourselves.
This prayer is intended to accompany a journey of inner healing and spiritual liberation. It is an invocation to break unhealthy bonds, overcome insecurities born from rejection or lack of affection, and free the mind from every prejudice. Through these words, we ask for the grace to discover ourselves loved for who we are, to establish healthy boundaries in our relationships, and to become witnesses of a true, free, and fruitful love.

## A Reading from the Gospel According to Matthew
**Matthew 22:34-40**
At that time, when the Pharisees heard that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together, and one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question to test Him:
“Teacher, which commandment in the Law is the greatest?”
Jesus replied:
“‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and first commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”

Le us pray The Lord's Prayer - Our Father
Prayer of Entrustment and Conclusion
Lord Jesus, You are the way, the truth, and the life. Enter every dark corner of our memory and emotional history. Visit the wounded child within us, the betrayed young person, the humiliated or oppressed adult.
Today, by the power of Your Holy Name and Your Cross, break every toxic spiritual and psychological bond, every chain of dependency, and every conditioning born from the absence of love or from the narcissism of others.
Grant us the grace to forgive wholeheartedly those who have hurt us, not to justify injustice, but to untie the knot of resentment and finally walk in freedom. Restore to our souls their true dignity, heal our self-esteem, and teach us to love ourselves with the same gaze of compassion and truth with which You see us.
Make us capable of building healthy, transparent relationships founded upon mutual respect, so that, safeguarded by Your Love, we may become instruments of peace, healing, and reconciliation for everyone we meet.
You who live and reign forever and ever.
Amen.
---
Or
Lord, Source of all charity, teach us to love You with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our mind, and with all our strength.
Grant us the grace to welcome ourselves with Your own tenderness. Help us to learn to cherish, forgive, and care for our lives, for only when we are reconciled with Your love and at peace within ourselves can we become sincere guardians and loving servants of our neighbor.
Free us from every form of insecurity caused by a lack of acceptance and affection. Break the chains of every toxic, unhealthy, or manipulative relationship, and loosen every bond that suffocates our dignity and peace. Heal the wounds of rejection and judgment so that we may walk with heads held high, free from fear and from the need for constant approval.
Purify our minds and hearts from every prejudice toward ourselves and others. Make us authentic, truthful, and free, capable of loving without dependency, of establishing healthy boundaries, and of giving ourselves generously without the burden of anxiety.
May self-love never become pride or selfishness, but rather the fruitful root from which sincere acceptance of others blossoms. Purify our vision so that we may recognize our brothers and sisters with clarity, and may the love and freedom we receive from You flow through us, bringing to fulfillment the one great Commandment.
Amen.
