La Gabbia della Superiorità: Anatomia di un'Ipocrisia

 

La presunzione di essere persone "perbene" e moralmente superiori — solo perché si segue un determinato credo o si appartiene a un gruppo sociale, religioso o politico — crea una profonda deformazione interiore e psicologica. Questa convinzione di superiorità riflette, in realtà, una grande ignoranza dei veri valori spirituali, che trascendono persino l'appartenenza formale al cristianesimo.
​Molti di questi individui frequentano ambienti religiosi, inclusi gruppi cattolici o cristiani fondamentalisti, ostentando un perbenismo etico dietro al quale manca un reale spirito di umiltà. È un atteggiamento purtroppo molto diffuso che spesso genera denigrazione e scandalo, allontanando le persone a causa dell'ipocrisia di "cerchie chiuse" composte da individui che si autoproclamano giusti.
​Se guardiamo al Vangelo, gli evangelisti descrivono proprio questa dinamica: la figura di Gesù si scagliava apertamente contro la mentalità del perbenismo farisaico del suo tempo. Per questo motivo, dobbiamo fare estrema attenzione ai lupi travestiti da agnelli: soggetti che fuori appaiono mansueti, ma dentro sono rapaci e capaci di divorare la dignità altrui.
​Gesù ci ha esortati a essere "saggi come i serpenti e puri come le colombe". Egli osservava come i figli di questo mondo siano spesso più scaltri, nei loro affari, rispetto ai figli della luce; per questo, chi appartiene al Regno dei Cieli deve sviluppare una profonda discernimento. Infine, è fondamentale ricordare l'ammonimento a non gettare le proprie perle ai porci: chi non conosce il vero valore della spiritualità finirà solo per calpestarla e, infine, rivoltarsi contro di voi per sbranarvi.

The Illusion of Moral Superiority

The presumption of being "decent" people and morally superior—simply because one follows a specific creed or belongs to a certain social, religious, or political group—creates a profound interior and psychological distortion. This conviction of superiority actually reflects a great ignorance of true spiritual values, which transcend even formal membership in Christianity.

Many of these individuals frequent religious environments, including Catholic or fundamentalist Christian groups, flaunting an ethical "respectability" behind which a real spirit of humility is missing. It is, unfortunately, a widespread attitude that often generates denigration and scandal, pushing people away due to the hypocrisy of "closed circles" composed of individuals who proclaim themselves to be righteous.

If we look at the Gospel, the evangelists describe this very dynamic: the figure of Jesus openly clashed with the Pharisaic mentality of His time. For this reason, we must be extremely careful of wolves in sheep's clothing: subjects who appear gentle on the outside, but on the inside are ravenous and capable of devouring the dignity of others.

Jesus exhorted us to be "wise as serpents and innocent as doves." He observed how the children of this world are often shrewder in their affairs than the children of light; therefore, those who belong to the Kingdom of Heaven must develop a profound sense of discernment. Finally, it is essential to remember the admonition not to throw your pearls before swine: those who do not know the true value of spirituality will only end up trampling it and, eventually, turning against you to tear you to pieces.
