dove l'incontro con Cristo opera una vera e propria metanoia, un capovolgimento del pensiero e dell'esistere.
Spesso pensiamo che il rifiuto del divino sia un atto di ribellione. In realtà, oggi il rifiuto più pericoloso è quello che avviene per assuefazione (in English, "addiction").
"È bello quello che dici, ma è solo una delle tante verità".
Questo atteggiamento uccide la capacità del Vangelo di generare una vita nuova, perché lo trasforma in un’opinione tra le altre.
Il discepolato non è l'adesione a un'idea, ma l'innesto in una Persona. Qui i valori cambiano segno:
•Dall'Autonomia all'Obbedienza (Ascolto): Nel mondo, il valore supremo è "fare ciò che sento". Nel discepolato, il valore è l'ascolto della Parola che viene da fuori e ci salva da noi stessi.
•Dalla Realizzazione al Dono: Non si cerca più di "costruire il proprio impero", ma di lasciarsi consumare per il Regno. La logica del chicco di grano (Giovanni 12,24) non è un sacrificio punitivo, ma la dinamica stessa della fecondità.
•Dalla Giustizia alla Misericordia: Il discepolo non cerca il "suo", ma ciò che serve all'altro per risorgere.
Prendere coscienza del Vangelo significa capire che esso non è una "cura" per sentirsi meglio, ma una morte e una risurrezione.
Il discepolato richiede una gerarchia interiore: al vertice non c'è il mio "io" con le sue fluttuazioni umorali, ma il Risorto.
Essere seguaci del Risorto significa vivere come chi ha già vinto la morte; questo toglie il potere alla paura, all'ansia del possesso e alla necessità di approvazione sociale.

La vita nuova in Cristo si manifesta in una comunità che non è un insieme di persone che si "stanno simpatiche", ma di persone che sono unite dal Sangue di Cristo.
Questa comunità è sovversiva perché:
•Rifiuta l'individualismo come misura del successo.
•Rifiuta l'emozione passeggera come bussola morale.
•Propone una stabilità che nasce dalla fedeltà, non dal piacere del momento.
Il mondo non sarà scosso da cristiani "educati" o "vagamente religiosi", ma da discepoli che hanno il coraggio della differenza.
La "Vita Nuova" è questa: camminare nel mondo con i piedi per terra e il cuore già nell'Eterno. Non si tratta di essere "migliori" degli altri, ma di essere "abitati" da un Altro.
"Non sono più io che vivo, ma Cristo vive in me." Galati 2,20
Questa è la coscienza che rompe l'indifferenza: la consapevolezza che ogni istante è gravido di eternità e che il discepolato è l'avventura più radicale concessa all'essere umano.

The Experience of the Disciples of the Risen One
The transition from an "emotional" or "likable" religion (where God is a reassuring accessory) to a crucial faith, where the encounter with Christ effects a true metanoia—a complete overturning of one’s thought and existence.
The Disciple: From Religious "Likability" to New LifeWe often think of the rejection of the divine as an act of rebellion. In reality, today’s most dangerous rejection occurs through addiction (to the self and to habit). We have reduced the Gospel to a "likable" ethical code, an invitation to a kind of politeness that disturbs no one.
But if Christ is merely "likable," He is not the Lord. If faith is just an emotion, it vanishes at the first sign of pain. Today, the rejection of the divine masks itself as relativism: "What you say is beautiful, but it is just one of many truths." This attitude kills the Gospel’s power to generate a new life because it transforms it into just one opinion among others.
Discipleship is not an adherence to an idea, but an ingrafting into a Person. Here, values change their sign:
From Autonomy to Obedience (Listening): In the world, the supreme value is "doing what I feel." In discipleship, the value is listening to the Word that comes from outside of us and saves us from ourselves.
From Self-Actualization to Self-Gift: One no longer seeks to "build their own empire," but to let themselves be consumed for the Kingdom. The logic of the grain of wheat ($John 12:24$) is not a punitive sacrifice, but the very dynamic of fruitfulness.
From Justice to Mercy: The disciple does not seek "what is theirs," but what the other person needs in order to rise again.
Becoming conscious of the Gospel means understanding that it is not a "cure" to make us feel better, but a death and a resurrection.
Discipleship requires an internal hierarchy: at the summit, there is not my "ego" with its moody fluctuations, but the Risen One. To be followers of the Risen One means living as those who have already conquered death; this strips power away from fear, the anxiety of possession, and the need for social approval.

The new life in Christ is manifested in a community that is not a collection of people who "like each other," but of people who are united by the Blood of Christ.
This community is subversive because:
It rejects individualism as the measure of success.
It rejects fleeting emotion as a moral compass.
It proposes a stability born of faithfulness, not of the pleasure of the moment.
The world will not be shaken by "polite" or "vaguely religious" Christians, but by disciples who have the courage of difference.
"New Life" is this: walking in the world with feet on the ground and a heart already in the Eternal. It is not about being "better" than others, but about being "inhabited" by Another.
"It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me." ($Galatians 2:20$)
This is the consciousness that shatters indifference: the awareness that every moment is pregnant with eternity and that discipleship is the most radical adventure granted to a human being.
